Press Start Co

Affiliate Disclosure

How this site makes money - in plain English.

Press Start Co is free to read, and it stays that way because some of the links on this site are affiliate links. This page explains exactly how that works, in plain English, so you know precisely what happens when you click a buy button.

How our links work

Most of our “View on Amazon” and price buttons are affiliate links. When you click one, it passes through a redirect on our own domain (a /go link) that adds our Amazon Associates tag and sends you to the product on Amazon. If you buy something during that visit, we may earn a small commission - at no extra cost to you. You pay exactly what you'd pay otherwise.

As an Amazon Associate, Press Start Co earns from qualifying purchases. Amazon and the Amazon logo are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates.

Prices come from the retailer and change

The prices we show are pulled from a live data layer and stamped with the date we last checked them. They can change at any time, and the price on Amazon at the moment you buy is the one that counts. When we don't have a fresh price, we show “Check price” instead of an old number - we never display a stale or invented figure.

Commissions never change our picks

This is the important part. Which games we recommend, and the order we rank them, are never influenced by commission. If a cheaper game is the better answer for your group, it ranks higher - even if it earns us less. We accept no payment to feature a game or move it up a list, and we accept no free copies in exchange for coverage. You can read the full method on how we pick and our standards on the editorial policy page.

Games not sold on Amazon

Some games we recommend - especially free-to-play and PC-only titles - aren't sold on Amazon at all. For those, we link to the official store or a search, clearly labeled, and we may not earn anything. We include them anyway because they're the right answer for the situation, which is the whole point.
