Editorial Policy
Our standards for accuracy, sourcing, and corrections.
These are the standards every page on Press Start Co is held to. They exist so you can trust what you read here, and so we hold ourselves to something concrete.
Sourcing
Every factual claim about a game - which platforms it's on, whether it has crossplay, how many players it supports - comes from the game's official store page or the developer's own documentation, and we link that source on the pick. We don't present third-party “search volume” or aggregator numbers as fact, and we don't fabricate ratings, review counts, or testing claims.
Independence
Our recommendations are editorially independent. We earn affiliate commissions on some links (see the affiliate disclosure), but commission never determines which games we recommend or how we rank them. We accept no paid placements and no free products in exchange for coverage. When a cheaper option is better for you, it wins.
Prices
All prices come from a live data layer and are stamped with the date we last verified them. Stale prices are removed automatically and replaced with a “Check price” prompt, so you never see an out-of-date number treated as current. We follow the retailer's requirement that displayed prices come from their live data and are refreshed regularly.
Update cadence
We review our roundups on a regular schedule for crossplay-status changes, delistings, and new releases. The “Last updated” date on a page is bumped only when something actually changes- we don't reset dates just to appear fresh. Price accuracy is maintained continuously through the live data layer.
Corrections
We get things wrong sometimes, and when we do, we fix them promptly. If you spot an error - a crossplay claim that's changed, a game that's been delisted, a price that looks off - please tell usand we'll correct it quickly. Significant corrections are noted on the page.

Content is written by Stephen, framed honestly as an enthusiast rather than a credentialed expert or a testing lab - read more on the about page and about our method on how we pick. We never claim credentials we don't hold or hands-on testing we haven't done.
